Welcome to oldlol, a home for League Classic

What oldlol is, what's coming, and why we're building a reference site for League's classic era.

Riot is bringing back an older era of League of Legends. It's a featured mode that winds the game back to how it used to feel, and this site exists for it. If you've been quietly missing the League you first fell for, you're in the right place.

What oldlol is

oldlol is a news and reference site for League Classic. The plan is simple: cover the mode properly. Champions and their old kits, the item shop as it actually was, the full rune and mastery trees, written build guides, tier lists once people have actually played, and news as it lands.

What makes it different

There are plenty of sites that scrape data and move on. This isn't that. The classic-era data here is being put together by hand and checked against the wiki, by people who actually care about this era of the game. When the numbers get fiddly, and old League numbers are famously fiddly, we'd rather get them right than get them fast.

The honest bit

Here's the part we won't pretend about: Riot hasn't said exactly which era this is yet. There are guesses everywhere, but nothing's confirmed. So we're not going to write one down as fact and quietly edit it later. Whatever Riot reveals on Sunday 12 July, that's what we'll build around. Staying flexible until then is the whole point.

What's next

The database goes live once the roster is confirmed and we know what we're actually working with. Until then, we'll be here for reveal coverage. The moment it drops, we start filling this place in. Follow along, and thanks for being early.
